about the artist

Sasha Davis is a painter and book artist based in Mishawaka, Indiana. Her work explores atmosphere, emotion, and the restorative experience of creating. Inspired by nature, memory, and dreamlike environments, she creates immersive works that blend organic imagery, layered color, and intuitive processes to evoke reflection and emotional connection.

Originally trained in sculpture, Sasha approaches both painting and book arts with a strong sense of exploration and physicality. Her handmade books and paintings often function as spaces for contemplation. She draws on landscape elements, mood, movement, and natural forms to create environments that feel both familiar and imagined. She is especially interested in the ability of art to hold emotion, memory, and quiet moments of introspection.

Sasha earned her BA in Studio Art from Saint Mary's College and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Butler University. Her background in both art and counseling continues to shape her understanding of creativity as a space for healing, self-discovery, and human connection.

Through her work, Sasha hopes to create experiences that feel approachable, immersive, and emotionally open. Her work offers viewers a place to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and find their own meaning within the imagery and atmosphere of each piece.
